Stash Bros. Records is proving you don’t need a brick and mortar building to open an in-person record store.
The Minnesota-based operation started using social media to promote pop-up record sale events throughout the Minneapolis area earlier this year.
One weekend you might find Stash Bros. set up in a front yard on the northeast side of Minneapolis.
The next weekend they’re playing music and selling vinyl at a “Dinner On The Farm” event at Iron Shoe Farm in Princeton, MN.
While Stash Bros. doesn’t have a dedicated website at the moment, the best way to keep up with their sales is following them on Facebook and Instagram.
COVID-related restrictions have continued to tighten in Minnesota in the past month. Stash Bros. have shifted to mostly having their sales out of a garage in Richfield, MN.
But this isn’t your mom’s garage sale. That’s unless your mom has table after table full of loaded bins of records.
The inventory is constantly changing as Stash Bros. continues buying used vinyl. Keep tabs on what they have to offer on their Facebook or over on Discogs where Stash Bros. has listed nearly 5,000 albums.
