Bloomington-Normal To Add Another Record Store To Its Collection

The Twin Cities (the Central Illinois version and not the Minnesota one) will soon be home to yet another record store.

Reckless Saint is setting up shop at 320 North Main Street in the heart of downtown Bloomington. According to a Facebook post, the shop is set to open April 2.

The store currently doesn’t have much of an online presence outside of a Facebook page with a handful of posts.

The page describes Reckless Saint “a sanctuary of music goods including vintage stero equipment, vinyl records, concert posters and other cool stuff.” They also will buy used music-related items.

Signage went up on Reckless Saint earlier this month.

The Bloomington-Normal area is quickly becoming an area with a high independent record store per capita ratio.

Waiting Room Records and North Street Records can both be found in the same block of the Uptown Normal shopping area. Reverberation Vinyl is currently celebrating it’s 10th anniversary at 1302 North Main Street in Bloomington.
